Ministry of Education honors 56 outstanding students from evening centers

On International Literacy Day, the Ministry of Education and Higher Education in Qatar celebrated the achievements of 56 outstanding graduates from evening education centers. This ceremony took place in collaboration with the Sheikh Abdullah Al Ansari Complex and was attended by Dr. Ibrahim bin Saleh Al Nuaimi, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education.

The Ministry emphasized that evening education centers serve as a leading national model for expanding educational opportunities and promoting equal access to education. These centers embody Qatar's commitment to lifelong learning and human capital development, enabling individuals to achieve their academic goals despite various challenges.

During the ceremony, Assistant Director Fatima Yousuf Al Obaidli highlighted that completing high school is just the beginning of a new phase of learning, achievement, and self-development. She stressed the importance of graduates continuing their education and utilizing their knowledge, experiences, and skills to build their futures and contribute to society.

The Continuing Education Department, which oversees nine evening centers across the country, aims to provide flexible educational opportunities that accommodate learners' commitments and help them balance their various responsibilities while completing their education. The department noted that the total number of graduates from evening centers nationwide reached 759 during the 2025/2026 academic year, comprising 402 male students (approximately 53%) and 357 female students (approximately 47%).

Non-Qatari students accounted for 51.5% of the total enrollment, reflecting the diversity embraced by these centers and their inclusive role in providing educational opportunities for all members of society.
