AmaZulu hold wasteful Orlando Pirates to stalemate
Both teams tried to push for the late winner, but had to settle for a stalemate in the end.
In a thrilling Betway Premiership match at Kings Park Stadium, AmaZulu held Orlando Pirates to a 1-1 draw, moving both teams up to third place on the table. Tshepang Moremi scored the opening goal for Pirates in the seventh minute, but AmaZulu's Thandolwenkosi Ngwenya equalized just before halftime. Patrick Maswanganyi's clever chip was deflected by goalkeeper Wilfred Kouassi and went through Yanela Mbuthuma's legs, who capitalized with a first-time shot, finding the back of the net with his right foot.
