Yasukuni Shrine in central Tokyo has announced it will no longer permit visitors to dress as cosplayers on its premises. The decision comes as part of the shrine's updated visitor policies, aimed at preserving its "solemn" and "sacred" atmosphere. Yasukuni Shrine was constructed in 1869 to honor members of Japan's modern armed forces, which includes some World War II soldiers.
