Vimal Elaichi ad: What Tukaram Mundhe’s FDA wants SRK, Ajay Devgn and Tiger Shroff to explain

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) of Maharashtra has sent a show-cause notice to Bollywood stars Shah Rukh Khan, Ajay Devgn, and Tiger Shroff, accusing them of surrogate advertising for Vimal Pan Masala, a product banned in the state, through their endorsement of Vimal Elaichi. The FDA has given the actors 15 days to respond with a written explanation and supporting documents, either personally or through an authorized representative.

The FDA has outlined eight actions the actors must take immediately, including discontinuing their endorsement of Vimal Pan Masala/Elaichi, removing the advertisement from their social media, and providing various documents and details about the advertisement. The FDA has cited several laws, including the Food Safety and Standards (FSS) Act, 2006, the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, and the Advertising and Claims Regulations, 2018.
