Pan masala ad row: Shah Rukh Khan, Ajay Devgn, Tiger Shroff face FDA notices

The Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued formal notices to Bollywood stars Shah Rukh Khan, Ajay Devgn, and Tiger Shroff regarding their participation in a Vimal Elaichi advertisement. The notices, issued on Friday, allege that the campaign may violate food safety regulations. The FDA claims the ad creates a strong link with Vimal Pan Masala, a product banned in the state.

The regulator has asked the actors to explain their involvement and association with the brand. The notices were served to Devgn at his Juhu residence, Khan at his Mannat home, and Shroff through his production company. The FDA has intensified its crackdown on gutka and pan masala products containing tobacco or nicotine. The notices do not constitute a finding of wrongdoing, but rather request explanations from the actors.
