Man told he had months to live 'still standing' 14 years later

Adrian Webb, a 61-year-old man from Wombourne, was diagnosed with advanced skin cancer in 2012 and given just months to live, despite doctors expressing little hope of a full recovery. The cancer had spread to his lungs, liver, spleen, bowel, lymph nodes, and spine. However, Adrian participated in clinical trials and, after months of treatment involving new immunotherapy drugs, his cancer began to regress.

Fourteen years later, he is celebrating becoming a grandfather, having taken early retirement to care for his six-month-old grandson, Teddy. In a video shared on Instagram and Facebook, Adrian proudly walks into the shot holding Teddy, with the card reading "I'm still standing - and I'm a Grandad!" His son, Josh, who made a similar video in 2015 about his father's prognosis and turnaround, shared the new video, highlighting the advances in research and the importance of continued support for cancer research.
