Mukesh Khanna backs FDA notices to Shah Rukh, Ajay, Tiger over Vimal ad: ‘Apologise’

Actor Mukesh Khanna has expressed support for the Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) show-cause notices issued to Shah Rukh Khan, Ajay Devgn and Tiger Shroff over their involvement in a Vimal Elaichi advertisement. Khanna, known for his roles in Mahabharat and Shaktimaan, criticized the advertisement, referring to it as "Kesariya Adaab" and questioning why celebrities with significant influence would associate themselves with such promotions of pan masala.

The FDA claims the advertisement amounts to indirect promotion of banned pan masala and has issued a show-cause notice to the three actors, requesting explanations and responses within 15 days. Khanna welcomed the FDA's actions, stating that he is glad the government is taking notice of his concerns, although he noted that it often takes time for such actions to be taken.

He emphasized the influence celebrities have on young people and urged Shah Rukh Khan, Ajay Devgn and Tiger Shroff to apologize for their participation in the campaign, calling on them to change the message they have previously promoted to the public.
