Tiger Woods set for Florida court appearance in DUI plea case

Tiger Woods is set to make his way to a Florida court on Wednesday for a change-of-plea hearing in connection with his DUI arrest and rollover crash. The incident occurred on March 27, when Woods was involved in a collision on Jupiter Island. The charges he faces include driving under the influence, property damage, and refusal to take a lawful test.

Woods' attorney, Douglas Duncan, had originally requested a jury trial when he filed Woods' not-guilty plea. However, the court granted Woods' request to leave the country for treatment, allowing him to focus on his health. Woods, 50, was arrested following the accident, during which he was observed crossing over double solid lines and swerving to avoid a pickup truck and trailer.

Deputies reported that he exhibited signs of impairment. An arrest affidavit documented that police recovered two hydrocodone pills from Woods. He was detained in Florida for the state-required eight hours before being granted bail.
