PN digantung: PAS tak perlu dakwa jadi mangsa, kata pemimpin Amanah

PAS does not need to portray itself as collateral damage in the suspension of all Perikatan Nasional (PN) activities, according to an Amanah leader. Setiausaha Agung Amanah Faiz Fadzil stated that the JPPM's move was a counterclaim against Bersatu, another component party of PN. "Pakatan Harapan (PH) has not directly interfered with PN's actions," he told FMT.

JPPM earlier confirmed that all PN activities were suspended as of 23 September, following a Bersatu counterclaim, and gave a window for clarification. PN Setiausaha Agung Takiyuddin Hassan added that the coalition was taking legal action immediately in response to the suspension. He questioned the timing of the action, which came after the DUN Melaka announcement and the suspension's authority to open the way for the Reform Malaysia National Alliance.

Takiyuddin also did not rule out the possibility that the action against PN was motivated by malicious intent and political pressure from within and outside the coalition. Meanwhile, Amanah's Mobilization Officer Abbas Azmi characterized Takiyuddin's statement as an attempt to deflect blame onto the government. He believes the suspension stems from internal issues within the coalition itself, fueled by Bersatu's complaint to JPPM.

"Therefore, I advise Takiyuddin to understand the issue and not point fingers at anyone," he said. "This is because the problem lies in PN's weaknesses, particularly PAS's reluctance to admit their mistakes, while they themselves are the ones at fault." JPPM stated that the suspension order was issued under Section 13(2A) of the Companies Act 1966, following a notice to PN issued on 22 September.

According to the agency, the suspension aimed to protect the organization's interests from continued violations of its regulations.
