Arab and Islamic world condemns Houthi attacks; affirms support for Saudi Arabia

Several Arab countries and international and Islamic organizations voiced condemnation of the Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia. Kuwait, Egypt, Bahrain, Lebanon, and Jordan each issued individual statements expressing solidarity with Saudi Arabia. Kuwait strongly condemned the attempted ballistic missile attack on Riyadh and the targeting of civilians and civilian objects in Bish, Taif, Farasan, and Yanbu as a clear violation of the Kingdom's sovereignty and international and humanitarian laws.

Kuwait commended the Royal Saudi Air Defense Forces for their proactive measures and reaffirmed its full support for Saudi Arabia in safeguarding its security and stability. Egypt similarly condemned the attacks as a dangerous escalation that could further destabilize the region, reiterating its categorical rejection of attempts to undermine Saudi Arabia's security and sovereignty.

Bahrain strongly condemned the escalation of Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia, describing them as violations of international and humanitarian laws and urging the UN Security Council to take a firm stance to halt such attacks. Lebanon similarly condemned the missile attack targeting Riyadh, expressing solidarity with the Kingdom and reaffirming its support against any threat to its security and territorial integrity.

Jordan also condemned the Houthi missile attack on Riyadh and the targeting of civilians and civilian objects, describing it as a blatant violation of Saudi Arabia's sovereignty and a clear breach of international law. Both the Muslim World League and the Gulf Cooperation Council Secretary-General denounced the Houthi attacks, emphasizing the treacherous nature of the attacks and the militia's deliberate targeting of civilians.

The UN Secretary-General also joined the condemnation, praising the achievements of GCC states and their commitment to regional and international security.
