Qatar strongly condemns Houthi attacks on Riyadh

Qatar has strongly condemned the Houthi group's missile attack on Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, as well as attempts to target civilians in multiple cities, according to a statement released by the country's Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The statement emphasized that such attacks represent a reprehensible hostile act, an unacceptable disregard for human life, and a blatant violation of Saudi Arabia's sovereignty, as well as a clear breach of international norms.

The ministry firmly rejected any assaults on civilians and civilian assets, stressing the urgency of ceasing these reckless actions immediately. Furthermore, the ministry reaffirmed Qatar's complete solidarity with Saudi Arabia and its backing for all legitimate measures taken to protect the kingdom's sovereignty, security, territorial integrity, and interests.

It also highlighted that the security of Saudi Arabia is intrinsically linked to Qatar's security and the collective security of the Gulf Cooperation Council states.
