2027: Ignore opposition, just tackle insecurity, APC chieftain urges Tinubu

An APC chieftain in Osun State has urged President Bola Tinubu to focus on governance and tackle security threats ahead of the 2027 elections, ignoring opposition tactics. Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, who spoke to newsmen, highlighted a recent DSS intelligence alert on possible attacks on vulnerable locations, especially in the south.

Oyintiloye called for the President to support security agencies in enhancing surveillance, inter-agency collaboration, and proactive measures to safeguard lives and property. He emphasized the need for reinforced security around schools, places of worship, and other vulnerable locations, urging all security agencies to work together, share intelligence, and strengthen surveillance and rapid-response mechanisms.

Oyintiloye also advocated for an immediate, thorough, and transparent investigation into recent killings in Osun State and called for cooperation from all stakeholders, including transport workers, community leaders, and religious leaders. He urged citizens to remain vigilant, cooperate with security agencies, and pray for peace, unity, and progress.
