Members of public, NGOs await Tuanku Muhriz's returns [WATCH]

SEPANG: A calm and controlled atmosphere prevailed outside the VVIP Room at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) Terminal 1 on Tuesday night as the public and representatives of various non-governmental organisations (NGOs) awaited the return of Yang di-Pertuan Besar Negri Sembilan Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir. The ruler was expected to disembark at 9.50pm.

Onlookers were seen patiently waiting within the terminal, eager to greet and show their support for Tuanku Muhriz. Datuk Seri Megat D Shahriman Zaharudin, chairman of Sekretariat Taat Setia Sokongan Yang Dipertuan Besar Negri Sembilan, announced that the assembly aimed to be peaceful and centered on demonstrating loyalty and backing for Tuanku Muhriz and the royal institution.

He explained that both members of the public and NGOs had gathered amidst the ongoing political climate in Negri Sembilan. Earlier, a social media post circulated, urging the public and NGOs to congregate at the terminal to welcome the ruler and express their support. The event was reportedly organized by Profans, Waris Dato Siamang Gagap, Waris Negri Sembilan, and Pekan.

Tuanku Muhriz's return comes amidst controversy surrounding a proclamation regarding his potential removal as the Yang di-Pertuan Besar.
