Football team delayed by bus mix-up at Asian Games

The Korean men's national football team encountered a delay during their recovery training session on Wednesday at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games. Organizers had neglected to provide an official bus for the team, forcing them to wait for an alternative means of transportation. The team, which had won their first Pool D match against Qatar with a score of 4-0 the previous day, was set to undergo a post-match recovery session at a field in Handa, approximately 40 kilometers south of Nagoya, Japan, at 10:30 a.m. However, due to the absence of the designated vehicle from the team hotel, they were unable to reach the training venue until 10:50 a.m. This transportation mishap was not the first for the Korean football team in the Asian Games.

On Tuesday, the team arrived at their match against Qatar at Nagoya City Mizuho Park Rugby Field about 30 minutes later than scheduled, as the team bus driver had gotten lost en route. On Monday, Qatari head coach Lee Min-sung also faced a similar issue, arriving a few minutes late for his pre-tournament fitness session.
