Big Push road projects to be completed in phases due to limited funds – Mahama

President John Dramani Mahama announced that the government's Big Push road projects will be executed in phases due to financial limitations. During the first day of his 'Resetting Ghana Tour' in the Upper West Region, Mahama inspected the Wa–Han Big Push road project and explained the phased approach. He prioritized major trunk roads, especially those connecting regional capitals, before moving on to feeder roads that link communities and towns to the main road network.

"We cannot do all the roads at once due to budgetary constraints," Mahama stated. The government's strategy includes Big Push Phase 1, Phase 2, and Phase 3. Mahama emphasized that the focus on trunk roads would provide better access for residents in surrounding communities. He also expressed confidence in the quality of work being done on the major road project and anticipated returning to the region next year to commission the completed road.
