Musiala returns to help Bayern sink Bodo in Champions League

Bayern Munich's Jamal Musiala showcased his talent as he returned to the starting line-up and scored the opening goal in a resounding 5-0 Champions League victory over Bodo-Glimt. Michael Olise added two goals for the reigning champions, while Harry Kane and Alphonso Davies also found the back of the net. Musiala, who missed two pre-season friendlies due to a neurological condition, scored on his return to the starting six and was warmly embraced by his teammates.

This win extended Bayern's impressive streak of 24 consecutive Champions League opening game victories since 2002. Bodo, the surprise package from last season's tournament, fought valiantly but were unable to overcome Bayern's defensive organization and clinical finishing. Musiala was among three changes made to the starting lineup, joining Kane and Olise in the squad.

The German champions struggled early on against Bodo's deep defensive block, but Musiala's timely intervention broke the deadlock. Kane extended his Champions League scoring streak to eight matches in a row with a header from a free-kick, and Bayern continued their dominance in the final stages, scoring three goals in the last 15 minutes.

Davies capitalized on a loose ball with a powerful shot from outside the box, followed by Olise's stunning 25-yard finish to round off the win.
