Musiala returns to help Bayern sink Bodo in Champions League

Bayern Munich secured a dominant 5-0 victory over Bodo-Glimt in their Champions League home match on Thursday. Musiala's return to form came after he missed two matches due to a neurological condition that forced him to collapse on the pitch during pre-season friendlies. The win extended Bayern's remarkable streak of 24 consecutive Champions League opening game wins since 2002. Bodo-Glimt, who had made it to the Champions League last 16 the previous season, put up a brave fight but struggled defensively in the second half, eventually losing Odin Bjortuft to a straight red card.

Bayern's coach, Vincent Kompany, made three changes to the starting lineup from their previous match against Schalke, including Musiala, Kane, and Olise. The German champions were initially frustrated by Bodo's deep defensive block, but Musiala's goal broke the deadlock early in the second half. Kane and Olise added more goals before Davies and Olise secured the win with two more goals in the final minutes.
