Man United goes on a scoring spree in its long-awaited return to the Champions League

Manchester United U19s secured an impressive 5-0 victory over Sabah FK in their opening UEFA Youth League match at Leigh Sports Village. The young team, managed by Sabah FK’s U21s boss, opened the scoring within the first two minutes through Amir Ibragimov's header from a Jim Thwaites free-kick. JJ Gabriel added a second shortly after with a powerful shot that hit the post, only for the young striker to complete a hat-trick just before the half-time whistle.

Gabriel not only scored a hat-trick but also made two more appearances in the second half, showcasing his versatility and impact on the game. Jacob Watson also found the net early on for United, while Godwill Kukonki was substituted due to an ankle injury early in the match. Despite their dominance, United only managed 44 shots on target, a testament to Sabah's defensive resilience.
