Musiala returns to help Bayern sink Bodo in Champions League

Jamal Musiala netted the first goal and Michael Olise netted two more as Bayern Munich defeated Bodo-Glimt 5-0 in a Champions League match at home on Thursday. Harry Kane and Alphonso Davies also scored for the six-time European champions. Musiala, who has returned to the starting lineup after missing two matches due to a neurological condition, was celebrated by his teammates after scoring.

This victory extended Bayern's impressive streak of 24 consecutive Champions League opening game wins, dating back to 2002. Bodo, the surprise packages from last season's Champions League, put up a strong fight but lost Odin Bjortuft to a red card in the second half. Musiala was among three changes Bayern made to their lineup from the previous match against Schalke, alongside Kane and Olise.

Initially, Bodo's defensive strategy posed problems for Bayern in the first half, but Musiala found a way to break through. Kane scored his second goal of the night shortly after the hour mark, extending his Champions League scoring streak to eight matches in a row. Bayern continued their dominance in the final stages, scoring three goals in the last 15 minutes.

Davies, Olise, and Davies all added to the score in the closing moments, ensuring a dominant performance for Bayern Munich.
