Israel strikes southern Lebanon after Hezbollah drone launch, IDF says

Israel launched a series of airstrikes in southern Lebanon on Sunday following a drone attack by Hezbollah on its forces operating in the Israeli-occupied buffer zone. The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) reported that one of the drones was intercepted, resulting in no casualties among Israeli troops. Israeli fighter jets targeted areas including Nabatieh, Kfar Rouman, and Nabatieh al-Fawqa.

Meanwhile, in Yemen, Houthi militants attacked university facilities in Taiz with missiles and drones, causing powerful explosions and disrupting train service between Netanya and Tel Aviv due to damage to the railway's electrification infrastructure.

Iran's Revolutionary Guards claimed to have attacked a U.S. Navy aircraft carrier and destroyer with ballistic missiles, though the U.S. has not confirmed this report.
