Sharjah Police arrest Kazakh man after two sisters killed

Sharjah Police have apprehended a Kazakh man suspected of killing two sisters, following a serious incident reported inside a residential apartment. Authorities received a tip-off and swiftly launched an investigation, which culminated in the arrest of the suspect with minimal delay.

Brig Dr Khalifa Balhai, the Director of the Criminal Investigation Department of Sharjah Police, revealed that the two deceased sisters were acquainted with the accused. A dispute between the sisters and the accused allegedly triggered the double murder. The suspect confessed to the crime upon being presented with evidence.

The case has been handed over to prosecutors for further proceedings. Brig Balhai credited the speed of the police response, the coordination among various departments, and their ability to piece together the events, all of which led to the suspect's arrest "in record time".

Lt Gen Abdullah Mubarak bin Amer, the Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, commended the rapid response and emphasized the importance of relying on official sources for information, rather than falling for rumors.
