In Berlin, Deutsche Bahn plans to invest an additional 210 million euros by 2030 in cleaner trains, stations, and enhanced safety measures, as reported by Bild citing Bahn chief Evelyn Palla. Initially launched as a rapid program, the initiative is expected to continue indefinitely. Palla told the newspaper that "cleaner trains and stations, greater safety, and improved comfort should no longer be the exception, but our new standard".

However, the journey has not been flawless. "But we stand by our promise: the train must become better every day," she said. According to the information, the previous programs resulted in the cleaning of an area equivalent to 200 football fields and the removal of graffiti covering 17,000 square meters. A total of 44 mobile maintenance teams are tasked with repairing damages to stations.

Additionally, 220 employees are deployed daily for extra cleaning work, twice as many as previously. ICE trains will be cleaned both mechanically in wash lanes and manually, with teams using brushes to ensure the trains shine. "Dirt must go," Palla stated, "that's why our teams reach for the brush. They scrub until the ICE sparkles.
