Improved roads bring new vehicle options to Tumu-Bolga, Tumu-Tamale, Tumu-Wa routes

The ongoing improvement of the Tumu–Bolgatanga and Tumu–Tamale roads has introduced new vehicle options for commuters, enhancing their travel experience. Passengers can now choose from a variety of comfortable and speedy vehicles, such as Voxy, Sprinter, and Urvan buses, on these routes. The introduction of these alternative transport modes has significantly impacted the Tumu–Tamale and Tumu–Bolgatanga routes, offering passengers more choices when traveling.

Mr Mikailu Mohamud, Chairman of the Tumu Lorry Station, expressed that the enhanced road conditions have attracted more vehicle operators, including Voxy vehicles, which provide a more pleasant journey with reduced dust exposure. This development has positively affected drivers as well, as they can now make smoother, more frequent trips without the challenges posed by potholes.

While passengers have welcomed the new vehicles, some have raised concerns about the high cost of luggage transportation, particularly for students. Regardless, the improved road infrastructure has made travel more convenient, with shorter travel times and direct connections between destinations, ultimately contributing to economic growth and community development in the Sissala area.
