Improved roads bring new vehicle options to Tumu-Bolga, Tumu-Tamale, Tumu-Wa routes

The ongoing improvement of the Tumu–Bolgatanga and Tumu–Tamale roads has enhanced transportation options for passengers, introducing relatively luxurious vehicles such as Voxy, Sprinter and Urvan. These new options have been welcomed by commuters who previously had limited choices, with many now preferring the more comfortable and faster journey.

The Chairman of the Tumu Lorry Station, Mikailu Mohamud, expressed optimism that the improved infrastructure would attract more vehicles and stimulate economic growth in the region. Drivers operating from the Tumu Transport Station also noted the positive impact of the better road conditions, allowing for smoother and more frequent trips.

However, some passengers have expressed concerns over the high cost of transporting luggage, particularly for students carrying their belongings. Despite this, passengers have expressed enthusiasm for the new vehicles, particularly due to their comfort and suitability for long-distance travel, as well as the convenience of direct transportation from Tumu to Tamale.
