‘We have to accept whatever comes’: Family of Bomba special forces officer missing in Nepal stays positive

The family of Mohd Fakhrul Munir Mohd Isa, a Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department special forces officer, is staying hopeful that he and his fellow climbers will be found safe after a flash flood and landslide struck Rasuwa, Nepal. His brother, Mohd Saiful Munir Mohd Isa, said the family has been praying for Loe, also known as Loe, and his group to be located soon.

However, he also acknowledged the possibility of a negative outcome, stating that the family must accept whatever comes. Loe's brother explained that Nepal is significantly important to him, as he visits the country frequently for climbing and cycling activities. The last contact with Loe was a week prior to his departure for Nepal, where the group was believed to be in the valley area when the disaster occurred.

Family spokesman, Mohd Saiful, will only rely on official information from authorities and is not speculating on the situation. Recently, media reports confirmed that two JBPM officers, including Mohd Fakhrul Munir Mohd Isa, were among the Malaysians still uncontactable following the flash floods in Rasuwa. The two officers were part of a group of 10 Malaysians heading towards Everest Base Camp.
