Judge lectures Lindsay Clancy jury on reasonable doubt, tells them to keep deliberating

The Lindsay Clancy trial in Massachusetts has drawn attention to similar cases where mothers have killed their children, speculating on "copycat" murders. One such case is that of Deirdre Morley, an Irish mother who was accused of killing her three children in 2020. Both cases took place on January 24th, with Clancy accused of suffocating her children with exercise bands in 2023 and Morley accused of smothering them in 2020.

However, there is no proof that Clancy's actions were influenced by Morley's case. Morley, a nurse, was found not guilty due to severe psychotic depressive illness at the time. Clancy, also a nurse, is currently being tried, with the jury out deliberating a verdict.
