US launches Sh930m initiative to modernise Kenya Police Training

The United States has allocated a Sh930 million ($7 million) initiative to support Kenya's modernization of police training and enhance the professionalism and effectiveness of the National Police Service. The program was inaugurated at the Kenya Police Training College in Kiganjo, where the US Embassy emphasized the importance of well-trained officers in safeguarding citizens and establishing a secure environment for businesses.

According to the US Embassy in Nairobi, the initiative aligns with Washington's ongoing dedication to Kenya's pursuit of a modern and professional police force. "We believe well-trained officers can best protect and serve their fellow citizens," the embassy stated.
