Over VND10 trillion invested in expansion of Da Nang International Airport

The Da Nang People’s Committee, in collaboration with Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV), has announced an investment exceeding VND10.106 trillion (US$387.2 million) to expand Da Nang International Airport. The expansion projects, to be completed between 2027 and 2029, include the renovation and expansion of Terminal T1, which aims to handle 14 million passengers annually, and the first-phase expansion of the aircraft apron with six Code C aircraft parking stands.

Upon completion, Terminal T1 will feature a total floor area of around 96,000 square meters. The renovation of the existing terminal is scheduled to be finished by August 2029, while the first-phase aircraft apron expansion project is expected to be completed in July 2027. The terminal's renovation and expansion project has an investment of more than VND9.936 trillion and will be financed by ACV.

The airport authorities and relevant agencies have pledged to work closely together to implement these projects while minimizing their impact on the airport's current operations.
