3 new ways to plan and book travel in Search

Google has rolled out three new features within its AI Mode search capability that aim to simplify the travel planning process from start to finish. Firstly, flight price tracking has been integrated directly into AI Mode, enabling users to set up price alerts for their desired destinations and dates. By simply informing AI Mode of their travel plans, the system will display the best available options, complete with the latest prices from over 300 partner airlines and travel sites.

Additionally, users can request price alerts for specific flights and will receive an email notification when the prices change, allowing them to capitalize on any potential deals.

Secondly, AI Mode can now display flight costs in terms of points or miles, making it easier for travelers to redeem their hard-earned rewards. By asking for cost estimates in points or miles, users can see the exact value of their rewards for desired flights, whether it be nonstop or otherwise. Again, this feature is available in more than 180 countries and territories.

Lastly, AI Mode is now capable of booking hotels seamlessly, providing users with a comprehensive list of available options and their respective guest reviews. Users can inquire about hotel bookings, including desired destinations and travel dates, and AI Mode will generate a visual list of suitable accommodations. Once a hotel is selected, users can complete the booking process by choosing “Continue on Google” within the list of booking options.

This will appear next to integrated partners such as hotel chains and online travel sites, enabling users to complete their booking securely through Google Pay. Hotel booking in AI Mode is currently rolling out in the U.S. in English, and will be available worldwide in the coming weeks with support from Booking.com, Choice Hotels International, Expedia, Hilton, Hotels.com, IHG Hotels & Resorts, Marriott International, Priceline, Trip.com, and Wyndham Hotels & Resorts.
