Three U.S. Secret Service officials have been placed on administrative leave by the agency's professional standards office, pending the outcome of an investigation into potential misconduct. The officials were operating in non-law-enforcement capacities at the time of their placement on leave. This comes amid scrutiny for the Secret Service following at least three assassination plots against President Donald Trump in the past two years. In April, police reported that an armed man had breached security at the Washington Hilton during the White House Correspondents' Association dinner, which Trump was attending.
