Secret Service aware of Iranian state media video threatening life of Barron Trump

The US Secret Service is aware of a video broadcast by Iran's state broadcaster IRIB, which allegedly threatens the life of Barron Trump, the youngest son of former President Donald Trump. This marks the first time Barron has been directly targeted in such threats following the assassination of Iran's former Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and his family members at the beginning of the US-Iran war in February.

The video features stylized graphics highlighting locations where Barron is known to frequent, such as Trump Tower in New York. The video ends with a suggested $10 million reward for information leading to the killing of the Trump family. The Secret Service has stated they are investigating any threats perceived as targeting their protectees, but due to operational security reasons, they do not disclose details about protective intelligence.

The video was aired over the weekend by IRIB, a state media outlet appointed directly by Iran's supreme leader. The threat is part of a campaign of videos from Iran targeting the Trump family and President Trump, with some videos providing details on how to kill members of the president's family. Despite numerous threats against his life, President Trump has publicly discussed his situation, calling the individuals behind these threats "evil, sick people."
