The US Secret Service has acknowledged being aware of an Iranian state media video threatening the life of Barron Trump, the son of former President Donald Trump. This comes amid a pattern of such threats by hardline Iranian media following the assassination of its former Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, and the ongoing conflict with Israel and the United States.

While previous threats have targeted Melania Trump, this marks the first instance of a direct threat against their son. The Secret Service has stated that they are investigating anything perceived as a threat toward their protectees, but out of concerns for operational security, they do not disclose details of their protective measures.

The video, which aired by IRIB, an Iranian state broadcaster, featured an English language graphic reading "Where to kill Barron Trump?!" and showed locations where the younger Trump is known to frequent. The video concluded with a suggestion that people were "eagerly waiting to receive our $10 million reward." While not disclosing specifics, a federal law enforcement source told CNN that this video is part of a broader campaign of videos from Iran targeting the Trump family.

These threats have escalated since the assassination of Khamenei, with regime loyalists at his funeral displaying posters encouraging the killing of Trump and offering bounties for his vengeance.
