Actor Mat Yeung’s Malaysia roast meat restaurant temporarily closed 10 days after opening

Hong Kong actor Mat Yeung's recently opened roast meat restaurant in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia, has been temporarily shut down ten days after its opening. Six Hub Roast House, situated in the SS2 area of Petaling Jaya, was ordered to cease operations by the Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) on August 24, just one day after its inauguration on August 14.

The closure notice posted outside the restaurant cited alleged breaches related to its license and the utilization of the premises. The restaurant announced on social media that it would remain closed for two days to implement rectification measures and intended to resume operations the following day, August 26. Apologizing to customers, the actor explained that part of the kitchen had encroached upon public space, which authorities deemed unacceptable and ordered to be moved to a warehouse.

Yeung stated that the closure was unlikely to persist beyond two days. The Malaysian actor, 45, had aspired to open a traditional Hong Kong-style roast meat restaurant since joining TVB's artist training class in 1998.
