HK actor Mat Yeung's M'sia roast meat eatery temporarily closes 10 days after grand opening

Mat Yeung, a Hong Kong actor, opened a roast meat eatery called Six Hub in Petaling Jaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on August 14. However, the restaurant was forced to close 10 days later, on August 24. The proprietor posted on Facebook that the establishment would close for two days to comply with local authorities and then reopen on August 26. The caption accompanying the announcement expressed regret for the inconvenience caused by the restaurant's kitchen occupying a public space.

In an online video, the restaurant's roller shutters were found to be down, with yellow tape pasted on them. According to Oriental Daily, the restaurant was ordered to close around 1pm on August 24 due to violating certain regulations or licensing conditions for food establishments. Local authorities conducted an inspection following complaints and reportedly found that multiple restaurants were using back alleys to cook and wash dishes.

One of the implicated restaurants, Six Hub Roast House, was said to have placed its equipment at the back, taking up some roadside space. Therefore, the authorities requested the restaurant to move everything away.
