Hull City interested in Japan winger Nakamura

Hull City has shown interest in signing Stade de Reims winger Keito Nakamura, a 26-year-old Japan international. The forward played all four of Japan's matches at the World Cup, impressing with his goal-scoring abilities. Valued at £21.5m by Reims, Nakamura's asking price has deterred potential suitors. Despite interest from clubs like Everton, Bournemouth, and Fulham, Nakamura is eager to move to the Premier League.

The versatile forward scored 14 goals last season for Reims and proved himself as Japan's first-choice left winger at the World Cup after Mitoma's injury. Nakamura, who started his football career in Gamba Osaka's academy, has become a key figure for Japan, scoring 11 goals in 29 appearances. His marketability, stemming from his good looks, has led to commercial partnerships and appearances at fashion events.

Japanese football journalist Tasuku Okawa believes Nakamura's World Cup performances show he belongs at the highest level.
