¿Por qué se ha encarecido más el diésel que la gasolina?

Gasoline and diesel fuel prices continue to rise, with diesel fuel leading the charge. Diesel has surpassed €1.82 per liter, marking a consecutive month and a half of increases, while gasoline has crossed the €1.70 threshold, according to the latest data from the European Union's oil bulletin. The rising cost of diesel gas has prompted the activation of the crisis antidote's safeguard clause in September to raise the fiscal rebate for this fuel to 20 cents per liter, up from the initially planned 5 cents.

This measure is being put into action because diesel prices have increased by over 15% in terms of annual growth, while gasoline will follow the established schedule as its cost rose annually by 7.3%. Experts consulted attribute this difference in price evolution to the higher demand for diesel in Spain, but primarily to the tensions in energy markets caused by wars in Ukraine and Iran.
