No Nigerian singer has more hits than me – Davido boasts

Afrobeats artist David Adeleke, widely known as Davido, has boldly declared that no Nigerian musician possesses a greater number of hit songs than he does. He confidently vowed to wager $1 million on an impromptu hit contest with any Nigerian artiste who dares to challenge his claim. The "Omo Baba Olowo" hitmaker made the offer during a recent live broadcast with streamer Davrel.

"I will put $1 million cash on the table. Nobody has more hits than me," he proclaimed. Davido is among the most successful hitmakers in the Nigerian music scene, alongside peers such as Wizkid, Olamide, Burna Boy, Tekno, and Runtown. As of the time of this report, no artiste has publicly accepted the challenge. Burna Boy had previously issued a similar challenge during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, but Reekado Banks, a former Mavin Records artist, was the only one to accept. However, Burna Boy declined to face him, stating that their styles were not "worthy challengers."
