No Nigerian singer has more hits than me – Davido boasts

Afrobeats sensation Davido has boldly declared that no Nigerian artiste has more hit songs in his catalogue than him. The "Omo Baba Olowo" hitmaker even went so far as to wager $1 million on a hit battle with any Nigerian musician daring enough to challenge him. Davido made this audacious claim during a recent live stream with fellow streamer Davrel.

"I will put $1 million cash on the table. Nobody has more hits than me," he proclaimed. Known for his prolific hit-making, Davido stands among the industry's elite alongside contemporaries such as Wizkid, Olamide, Burna Boy, Tekno, and Runtown. However, despite his bold boast, no artiste has yet stepped forward to accept his challenge as of the date of this report.

Burna Boy, too, made a similar challenge during the COVID-19 lockdown in 2020, but Reekado Banks, the former Mavin star, was the only one to accept it. Regrettably, Burna Boy ultimately rejected Reekado Banks, stating he was not a worthy challenger.
