Google’s new Pixel 11 Pro Fold offers a stronger build and brighter screens

Google has unveiled its latest innovation in the foldable smartphone market, the Pixel 11 Pro Fold, without making any significant changes to its design. The new device is reported to be stronger and lighter compared to its predecessor, although it comes with a higher price tag. Google claims that it has developed a stronger hinge for the Pixel 11 Pro Fold, which enhances the phone's durability.

To complement the new hinge, Google has introduced a Super Actua display on the outer screen of the foldable, boasting a remarkable peak brightness of 3,600 nits. Both the inner and outer displays have been upgraded to be 20% brighter than their predecessors, according to the company. However, there is a slight reduction in battery capacity, with the Pixel 11 Pro Fold featuring a 4,750 mAh battery, down from the 5,015 mAh battery in the last model.

On the upside, this might explain the phone's reduction in thickness by 1mm and a weight decrease of approximately 20 grams.

The Pixel 11 Pro Fold also offers wireless charging capabilities, supporting 25W charging. The camera system has been upgraded with a 48-megapixel sensor, which captures more light and delivers sharper images in various lighting conditions. With the new G6 Tensor chip and an updated image processor, the phone's digital zoom capability has increased to 30x, up from the previous 20x. The device will be available in two color options, Olive and Obsidian, and will be priced at $1,899.
