South Korean patisserie Abebe Bakery to open in Hong Kong

South Korea's renowned patisserie, Abebe Bakery, is set to open its doors in Hong Kong later this September. Since launching its inaugural stall in Jeju’s Dongmun Market back in 2018, the bakery has established itself as one of Seoul's premier doughnut producers, celebrated for its scrumptious cream-filled doughnuts and cream buns, infused with local Jeju ingredients.

Upon arrival in Hong Kong, Abebe promises an assortment of delectable flavors, including Jeju matcha cream donuts, Gasiri black sesame doughnuts, and an array of cream buns such as Geumneung apple cream and Wimi hallabong, all filled with glutinous rice cake for a delightful contrast of textures. Alongside their baked goods, the bakery will also serve a range of beverages to complement the doughnuts, catering to various taste preferences with options like vanilla bean latte, Cheonhyehyang cold brew, and specialty drinks like matcha tangerine cream latte.

The store will commence its soft opening phase on September 13, and for a limited time from September 19 to 20, Abebe will be offering free doughnuts during select hours. Those eager to try Abebe Bakery in Hong Kong can visit the establishment at Shop W, G/F, 37 Mody Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, starting September 13.
