Udinese fifth Serie A club to switch coach as Runjaic axed
Kosta Runjaic paid the price for a dismal run of form that saw Udinese lose seven of their last eight league matches and drop into the relegation places.
Udinese has dismissed coach Kosta Runjaic and appointed Paolo Zanetti as interim manager until the end of the Serie A season. This marks the fifth coaching change in Italy's top division this year, following the departures of five other managers. Runjaic's dismissal comes after a poor run of results, with Udinese losing seven of their last eight league matches.
The decision follows a 5-2 home defeat to title contenders Roma. Udinese, currently sitting in the relegation zone with just five points from ten games, expressed satisfaction with Runjaic's contributions over his two-year tenure, during which they achieved significant milestones.
