Here's What Spotify Looks Like on Apple's HomeView

Apple's latest HomeView smart home hub doesn't feature an App Store, yet it can support certain third-party audio and video applications that are compatible with CarPlay. HomeView automatically mirrors CarPlay-enabled audio and video applications from a nearby, paired iPhone, without the need for any app adjustments.

Developer Steve Troughton-Smith shared a demonstration of Spotify on a virtualized HomeView through a Mastodon post. To view the animated GIF, one may need to hover their mouse or tap and hold on the image. The HomeView comes equipped with built-in Apple applications including Alarms, Calendar, FaceTime, Find My, Home Intercom, Messages, Music, Podcasts, Reminders, Safari, Settings, Timers, Weather, and World Clock.

The hub also supports CarPlay-enabled apps from the iPhone, which are available on HomeView. These include Apple Music, Classical, Apple News, and Audiobooks.

HomeView is currently available for pre-order and is scheduled to launch on November 13.
