PressEngine announces The Pre-Show, an in-person London showcase for upcoming games

PressEngine, a PR and influencer marketing platform, is set to launch The Pre-Show, an in-person event in London on November 26. The event aims to put game developers face-to-face with media and content creators ahead of upcoming game releases over the next 12 months. Over 150 journalists and creators are expected to attend, as PressEngine seeks to offer a solution to all-digital showcases, which it believes lack hands-on interaction and concentrate coverage around seasonal festivals.

PressEngine co-founder Gareth Williams states that the industry has become overly dependent on digital broadcasts and remote previews, which diminish authentic engagement for both creators and journalists. He argues that digital streams cannot replicate the experience of sitting beside a developer, playing a build, and establishing connections.

All games showcased at The Pre-Show will receive equal exposure, with only the bringing of the game required from developers. Spaces are, however, limited. The event will be managed by Odd Squad Events, with content creators handled by Guillotine and media by Renaissance PR.
