Iwobi among most underrated players – Sherwood

Premier League victor Tim Sherwood has hailed Alex Iwobi as one of the most underrated players in the English top tier following his goal against Hull City. The Fulham midfielder's strike proved pivotal, securing a 1-0 victory for his team in Saturday's match at Craven Cottage. Sherwood, who previously won the title with Blackburn Rovers and managed Tottenham Hotspur, praised Iwobi's versatility and impact.

"Iwobi must be one of the most underrated players in the Premier League," Sherwood remarked. "He's been fantastic today, scoring the goal but also contributing in various positions." Iwobi's goal, scored in the 33rd minute after Hull twice failed to clear their lines, came after a deflection from Sander Berge's pass. The 30-year-old midfielder, who had gone six league games without a goal or assist, now boasts 36 Premier League goals in 327 appearances, tying him with Nigerian striker Peter Odemwingie.

Fulham's win was their first of the season and first under manager Alvaro Arbeloa, lifting them off the bottom of the table.
