Sindh to Expand Internship and Job Opportunities for Young People

The Sindh government is reaching out to over 100 companies to boost internship and job prospects for students and recent graduates, according to Sharjeel Inam Memon. The initiative, called I Work for Sindh, seeks to link young individuals with employers while ensuring their skills align with market demands. The platform has seen impressive engagement, with more than 5.19 million visits, 136,547 registered candidates, and participation from 721 companies.

A total of 31,270 job opportunities have been listed, of which 24,766 remain active. Candidates have submitted 473,339 applications, while the government also offers access to more than 1,800 internationally recognized short training courses. Currently, 4,620 candidates have completed these courses, and an additional 5,789 are in various training programs.

The government aims to streamline the process by automatically adding public- and private-sector vacancies to the platform, with preparations set for the next one-and-a-half to two months. Additionally, a daily job alert service is being developed to keep candidates informed about new positions.
