Super Eagles forward Kelechi Iheanacho celebrated a historic milestone in Turkey after scoring twice and providing an assist as Bursaspor defeated Muglaspor 3-0 in the Turkish 1. Lig on Thursday. The Nigeria international, who has now scored in 10 consecutive league matches, donned traditional Turkish attire and embraced the nickname "Agabey," which translates to "Big Brother" or "Boss" in Turkish.
This achievement makes Iheanacho the first player to score in 10 straight league matches in Turkish professional football history. With 14 goals and three assists since joining Bursaspor from Celtic, the 30-year-old striker has consistently proven his worth in every appearance for the team. Iheanacho's brace in the 79th minute sealed the victory, propelling Bursaspor to second place in the Turkish 1.
Lig with 22 points, just two points ahead of third-placed Iğdır FK and three points behind leaders Kayserispor. The win secured the Lions of the Desert a coveted spot in the promotion race to the Turkish Super Lig, where they will face Pendikspor on Monday.
