Govt Warns Against Posting Family Photos Online

The National Cyber Emergency Response Team (NCERT) and the National Telecommunication Corporation (NTC) have issued an advisory warning citizens against sharing family photos, daily routines, locations, and personal information on social media platforms. The organizations caution that seemingly harmless posts could expose households to security risks by revealing sensitive information about family members, their activities, and whereabouts.

Citizens are advised to avoid tagging home locations, disclosing their whereabouts, and sharing information about their family's daily routines. The advisory emphasizes the need for greater caution when posting online and encourages users to limit the personal information they share about family members on platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, and X.
