Eric Opah, the candidate for Abia State Governor from the All Progressive Congress (APC), has urged residents to verify the projects carried out by the incumbent administration led by Governor Alex Otti. Opah believes this will help differentiate genuine projects from what he refers to as "audio and social media" creations. Speaking in Umuahia on Wednesday, Opah stated that the true measure of a government's impact lies with the citizens, not media personalities or external influencers.
He emphasized that Abia people should verify the existence of the promised projects in their communities. Opah expressed confidence in his victory, stating that the decision lies with the Abia electorate. Meanwhile, the leader of the Ikwuano/Umuahia women community leaders, Chinyere Ehilegbu, cautioned against altering the existing power-sharing arrangement in Abia Central.
