2027: Abia tricycle operators endorse Otti for second term

The Abia State Tricycle Operators Union, based in Umuahia, has endorsed Governor Alex Otti for another term in the upcoming 2027 governorship election. During a demonstration to Government House in Umuahia, the union members expressed their support for Otti, citing his administration's successes in road infrastructure and other sectors.

Chairman of the union's Umuahia Zone, Chinweotito Godson Appolos, highlighted the positive impact of improved roads on their transportation operations, noting that it had reduced maintenance costs and eased their work. Otti, represented by his Chief of Staff Caleb Ajagba, thanked the operators for their backing and recalled previous protests against poor road conditions.

He stated that under his leadership, the government had addressed these issues, effectively "wiping out the tears of Ndị Abia." Otti encouraged residents to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards and reminded them to evaluate political leaders based on their performance.
