Who is Alexis Wilkins, country singer engaged to FBI Director Kash Patel

FBI Director Kash Patel recently announced his engagement to his longtime girlfriend, country singer Alexis Wilkins. The couple shared a black-and-white photo on social media, showcasing Wilkins wearing a stunning engagement ring alongside Patel. In the caption, Wilkins humorously referenced "going and getting the law involved," a nod to the extensive protection she receives as Patel's partner.

Wilkins, 27, and Patel, 46, have been dating since before Patel became FBI director in 2025. The relationship sparked interest when Wilkins performed at President Donald Trump's Great American State Fair in 2023, as other artists backed out of the event due to its partisan nature.

Beyond her music career, Wilkins has been associated with conservative groups and even worked as a spokeswoman for Women for Gun Rights. Her involvement in political events has drawn attention, particularly after she was granted a full-time protective team consisting of Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team members from various FBI field offices.

This protective detail became the subject of controversy when Patel faced criticism for using government aircraft for trips without a clear law enforcement purpose. One instance included an FBI jet flight to State College, Pennsylvania, for a pro-wrestling event where Wilkins performed the national anthem. Wilkins' protective team was also seen accompanying her to various engagements, including singing appearances and even a hair appointment, raising questions about the expenditure of taxpayer-funded resources for Patel's personal activities.

An FBI spokesman defended the level of protection, stating that the threat of death threats against Wilkins warranted this level of security.
